This project explores two starkly different sides of Gloucestershire's abandoned heritage—Woodchester Mansion and the old flour mill in Gloucester.
Woodchester Mansion, an unfinished Gothic masterpiece, has stood as a haunting reminder of Victorian ambition. Construction was halted in the late 1800s, leaving its intricate design frozen in time, with layers of history and mystery embedded in its walls.
In contrast, the Flour Mill in Gloucester, once a hub of industrial activity, now stands as a symbol of the changing landscape of the British industrial era. Overgrown and forgotten, it tells a story of decline, with rusted machinery and decaying infrastructure that contrast sharply with the grandeur of Woodchester Mansion.
This shoot contrasts the grandeur of incomplete ambition with the raw, industrial decay of a bygone era, both places brimming with untold stories.
